April 15th - The 2008 Rockfish season is just days away, and our Deale fleet anticipates another great season. Opening day this year is April 19th, and most of our boats will be running two trips a day. The cutover to two (2) fish per person is Tuesday May 13th. The fish this time of year will average from about 30" to 40" plus. We have continued to see an increase in size and number of fish each year. We recommend anyone that would like a spring trophy trip to book their trip with a captain soon! These dates go quickly, and these big fish will move back to the ocean starting in mid May. At present the captains and mates are busy with all their boat and tackle prep.
